Blagojevich Appointee Roland Burris is a Race-Baiter

“I’m not in any way seeking to play the race card in this situation,” he said. “Under no circumstances.”
…“It is a fact, there are no African-Americans in the United States Senate,” he said on NBC’s “Today.” “Is it racism that is taking place? That’s a question that someone may raise.”
Never mind the fact that he is clearly playing the race card in the hopes of keeping his seat, but when are people going to realize that it is necessary to have 2 and 2 before you can have 4? The mere fact that there are no blacks in the Senate does mean racism exists. Standing alone, that fact merely means there are no blacks in the Senate. Period. It (whether it is racism or not) is not a question that “may be raised” absent extra information.
What Burris is basically saying is that he believes the answer is 4 despite the fact that he has no evidence that the equation is 2 + 2. What if no qualified blacks were passed over for under-qualified or less-qualified whites in any Senatorial races? If every time a black candidate was defeated s/he was defeated by a more qualified candidate who happened to be white, then the fact that there are zero black Senators proves nothing.
This is classic race-baiting behavior customary of our black leadership in this country (Sharpton, Jackson, etc.). It’s disgusting. It is often used as a form of blackmail (in this case, to hold on to the Senate seat), and more people need to come out and speak strongly against it.
Update: Now it looks like Capital Dems are prepared to physically block Burris if he shows up. Those racist Democrats.
